Freecrop Back to home

Terms of Service

Effective October 28, 2026. Applies to the Freecrop for X extension (version 1.4.0 and later) and freecrop.sharedlearning.online.

These terms are an agreement between you and Franklin Mayoyo, an individual trading as Shared Learning, in Nairobi, Kenya ("we", "us"). By installing or using Freecrop you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.

1. Who can use Freecrop

You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and able to enter a binding agreement.

2. What Freecrop does

Freecrop lets you crop and mark up images before adding them to an X post, and take screenshots of your current tab. Some features are free and others belong to Freecrop Pro ("Pro"). We may add or change features over time.

3. Not affiliated with X

Freecrop is independent. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by X Corp. "X" and "Twitter" belong to their owners and are used only to describe what Freecrop works with. Because Freecrop works with a site we don't control, it may stop working or change if X changes its site, and we can't guarantee it will always work.

4. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Freecrop on browsers you use. You may not:

5. Your content

You keep all rights in your images and posts. Freecrop edits images on your device and does not send them to us, so we receive no licence to them. You are responsible for having the rights to images you edit, for what you post, and for following X's terms. Check each edited image before sharing it, including that it hides anything you meant to hide.

6. Your account

Trials and Pro use an account you sign in to with your email and a one-time code. Use an email you control, keep it secure, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account.

7. Trial, Pro and payments

8. Privacy and third parties

Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms. Freecrop relies on services we don't control, including your browser, X, Supabase and Lemon Squeezy, and we are not responsible for their outages or changes.

9. Changes, suspension and ending

You can stop at any time by uninstalling. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or abuse a trial, or commit payment fraud or chargeback abuse, or if the law or a third party requires it. If we discontinue Freecrop, we will give at least 90 days' notice where we can, and offer a refund to anyone who bought Pro in the previous 12 months. Sections 11 to 13 survive ending.

10. Updates to these terms

We may change these terms. For material changes we will tell you in the extension or on its Chrome Web Store page. Continuing to use Freecrop afterwards means you accept the changes.

11. Disclaimer

Freecrop is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.

12. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Freecrop is limited to what you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you have paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or removes consumer rights you have where you live.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Nairobi have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also sue in the courts where you live where the law gives you that right. Please write to us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally: contact@sharedlearning.online.

These terms and the Privacy Policy are our entire agreement about Freecrop. If part of them is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
